Mundesley Hospital is a private mental health care facility based in the beautiful and secluded setting of the North Norfolk countryside

Set in over 18 acres of lush green gardens and woodland, we can offer a tranquil and private haven where individuals have the space, time and care in which to recover.

Mundesley Hospital is an iconic building recently refurbished with large communal areas flooded with light and calm where people can meet and share thoughts and feelings. However we also offer smaller more private areas for peace and tranquillity and the time and opportunity for self-reflection. Our grounds are well-kept and those staying with us will have access to extensive walks for fresh air and peace as well as more restful seating areas.

Within this setting we aim to deliver first class treatments for every individual. Our private suites are purpose built to an exceptionally high standard enhanced by quality catering. Our dedicated staff team have been hand-picked and are available 24-7 to cater for the mental health, physical health and safeguarding needs of our patients.

We offer superb tailor-made clinical care for our patients focusing on their mental health and wellbeing whilst delivering individual assessments of their physical health. Overall our dedicated team of professionals are ‘a team around the adult’ whose emphasis is in holistic care as well as medical interventions. We work closely with NHS Trusts as well as private health care commissioners and individuals.

Mundesley Hospital is an acute clinic unit which has been specifically designed and staffed to meet the needs of individuals suffering from mental healthcare issues. Our holistic approach is one of born from the experiences of our clinical care team and designed specifically to meet a wide range of individual needs using a variety of therapies and approaches.



Physical Healthcare

Physical health can be a major contributing factor to the mental well-being of individuals. We are committed to offering excellent physical therapies which work alongside and are integral to the treatment plans. Initial assessments will be made by our onsite GP and then fed into the team, forming part of everyone’s recovery plan.

Anyone who stays at Mundesley Hospital will be supported in a shared decision making process to ensure that they are held at the centre of every aspect of their care and support package.

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) is the independent regulator of health and social care in England. The CQC inspects, monitors and regulates all hospitals to make sure they meet fundamental standards of quality and safety. All the inspections are rated and published to help people choose care. The CQC sets out Standards of Care and defines what good and outstanding care looks like. Mundesley Hospital has been registered with the CQC. We anticipate that the CQC will inspect our facility shortly and the report will be available online as soon as possible.
